Druid all the way. Very adaptable class. Bombard the enemy with spells or use your magic and wild shape to go toe to toe. Good skill selection, great powers, d8 hd, medium bab, 2 good saves, and lots of spells. Being able to default to Summon Natures Ally is just icing on the cake.

At this point? Probably the Psychic, from Grenn Ronin's Psychic's Handbook. I can't wait to try one of those guys. Skill & Feat based magic, Yeah!

I voted Druid. Lots of fun little special abilities, a combination of healing and offensive spells, free summoning, some of the best perception skills in the game, decent hit points and combat abilities, and shapechanging. What's not to like?

However, if we include all D20 books, my favorite would be the Ancestral Speaker from Green Ronin's Corwyl Village of the Elves. A spontaneous summoning shaman-type who rebukes spirits (outsiders, elementals, and creatures with the incorporeal subtype), has good Cha skills, and meditation and etherealness abilities.

Ranger all the way

I voted ranger, the archtype adventurer, good combat skill, lot's of skills(I love skills), some spell(even without them I would love the class). 2 good saves.

The guy fights, sneak, and is self reliant, only weakness is social skill, which can be acquired with a few level of rogue (my second favorite class).

I don't like using magic too much, makes me feel like you are cheating. Why use invisibility when you can hide with your own skills.

Rogue

Oddly enough, I didn't pick a spellcaster. I choose rogue because I love to roleplay them. It's entertaining to de a duplicitous/sneaky/skilled character. Playing a high int high cha rogue can be a FUN. It doesn't hurt to have a good dex too. You've got an awsome reflex save. Use magic device can be a blast. All those skills and skill points.

But, most importantly, adding a level of rogue to any class is pretty much a boon. Who couldn't use a +1d6 sneak atttack and a better reflex save and so many skill options.

It is a close tie between cleric and sorcerer. I love the archetype of the arcane spellcaster but the sort of defensive and healing spellcaster I like is better represented by the cleric. So cleric by a squeaker.

Other: Whichever class I'm currently playing.

At the moment that's a monk. My first ever lawful character, and I'm having a blast despite my tendency in the past to play mostly chaotic characters.

Though before this current character I was in a long archer phase where I was trying to find the ideal archer build using just the core classes.
