What's your morning ritual?

1. Wake up five minutes before alarm because boy cat is chewing my feet.
2. Curse/Kick cat.
3. Feed cats
4. See if there's anything that looks like breakfast.
5. Check email
6. Play Kingdom of Loathing
7. Play Urban Dead
8. Read the following webcomics: Evil, Inc., Wapsi Square, The Order of the Stick, Scary Go Round, Nodwick & Full Frontal Nerdity, Questionable Content, Penny Arcade, and PVP
9. Check my Livejournal.
10. Check the news on ENWorld.
11. Shower.
12. Wake up wife.
13. Make coffee for wife.
14. Dress.
15. Warm up car.
16. Take wife to work.
17. Arrive at work.

I could sleep an extra hour if I didn't fart around online as much, but it helps me get going in the morning.

let's see...

1. jump out of bed at sound of alarm clock and reset the clock for 30 minutes later.
2. jump out of bed at soudn of alarm clock and turn it off before making neighbors angry. (I use that really annoying repetitive beep and full blast so I actually wake up, and I keep the alarm clock on the other side of the room so that I have to get out of bed to turn it off, which usually is enough to wake me up and start the morning rush)
3. S. S. S. (in that order)
4. Run out to the car because I am always near late
5. light up my morning breakfast (a cigarette)
6. Stop for a pack of smokes, making me late
7. Sit in traffic, smoke 4 cigarettes
8. Arrive at the parking garage at 3 minutes till my shift starts
9. Walk to the office smoking that final pre-work cig
10. Go to the lunch room and grab a Mtn Dew and a rice krispies thing out of the machine
11. Spend the next 20 minutes eating breakfast, surfing EN world, checking emails
12. Finally answer the phone which by now has been ringing for 25 minutes.

4. Put Half-n-Half and Equal in the coffee that my wife has already brewed
5. Net surf/check email while drinking coffee and maybe eating breakfast
6. Make lewd proposals to my wife, knowing full well that there's no time to follow thru
7. Loudly declare that I don't want to go to work
8. Get dressed
9. Sanity check: Got wallet? Keys? Cel Phone? ID? OK, let's go.

Workday schedule is as follows:

1. Alarm goes off - hit snooze.
2. Alarm goes off - hit snooze.
3. My cat Bella jumps into bed and promptly climbs onto my side/back/stomach and begins kneading me.
4. Alarm goes off - turn it off, Bella gets up and I get out of bed.
5. Walk with Bella to the kitchen, gathering her sister Kali along the way - give the girls their morning treat.
6. Pee.
7. Turn on the Weather Channel, catch the local weather while checking blood sugar.
8. Shower.
9. Get out of shower and play with the girls for a few minutes.
10. Shave/gel hair/deodorize.
11. Get dressed and get my things for work.
12. Fill the girls' dry food tray.
13. Figure out which car to take to work.
14. Drive to work, try to find a parking space closer than a 1/2 mile to my building.
15. Sit down, unpack my things, go get coffee.
16. Read comics - One Big Happy, Get Fuzzy, For Better or Worse, FoxTrot, Dilbert, 9 Chickweed Lane, Sally Forth, Sherman's Lagoon, The Phantom, Overboard, The Order of the Stick (if applicable), in that order.
17. Check my website for any posts.
18. Check EnWorld.
19. Check work email.
20. Start working.

My normal routine (when not travelling on business, which is about 40% of the time) on M, Tu, Th, F is:

1. Wake-up (5:02 AM)
2. Pee
3. Shower
4. Shave
5. Get dressed (coat and tie, except Fridays, bleah)
6. Feed cats
7. Quick breakfast
8. Out of the garage (5:35 AM)
9. Trek to work (75 miles one-way, usually takes about 1.25 hours)
10. Park/walk to office (about 5 minutes)
11. At desk by 7:00 - 7:15 AM)
12. Check WSJOnline, CBS Marketwatch and variety of news sites (Drudge, CNN, Fox) for overnight news
13. Check EN World, PbP games and GT Yahoo Group
14. Start working about 7:45 AM

One day a week, usually Wed, I get to telecommute...hooray! This day is a bit different...

1. Don't bother to set alarm, wake up when 2.75-year old son comes in and announces "I got poopies!" (usually between 6:15 - 7:15 AM)
2. Throw on some sweats and brush teeth
3. Help get kids breakfast and off to daycare
4. Fire-up the computer and log into the VPN to start work around 8:00 AM
5. Work on real job and small business and surf the net for balance of the day

Needless to say, work-from-home days are much more relaxing...

- Use restroom
- Make Coffee
- Check email
- Check other email
- Check third email every other day
- Check Mongoose and Palladium for any new news
- Post any new news from Mongoose and Palladium here
- Surf/Post EnWorld (sometimes while listening to music)
- Go to bed whenever I feel like calling it a day
