The halfling reappears just for an instant, then becomes invisible again as the wizard's mind feels a sharp pain again.

The Faceless One: -14 hps
Joshua: -5 hps, invisible

Joshua reappeared, weaving a more complex gesture with his wand. A baleful ball of dire radiance began to coalesce and then suddenly streaked toward the masked figure to take up unsteady orbit rainding down searing lances of light.

I reckon that probably didn't hit, but the effect should still take place, -2 Will def, save ends.

Though the Faceless One's will resists the assault of Joshua, his mind is weakened from it.

The Faceless One: -9 hps, Total defense, -2 Will (save ends)
Joshua: -5 hps
