Wheel of Time S3

One thing I like about adaptions is how they can bring things to life.

Tanchico is great. Making everyone there scouse is inspired. It’s like a bizarre cross of New Orleans, Totuga and Liverpool.

Thr standard used by the show, apparently, was to base a nations accent off of the primary character first cast from there. So, since Liandrin has a bit of a Liverpool accent, that's the Taraboner accent.

Wow wow wow! Episode 6 is just everything I want from a fantasy series. Action, drama, humor, suspense. The pacing of this episode is just amazing the way it whips you from having a good time to being terrified to being devastated. And the economy of the storytelling was just off the charts. So much packed into the episode. And everything in service to the characters.

They keep doing this, and this is going to become a smash hit.

Edited to add:
If the Forgotten Realms series gets off the ground at Netflix, they must include a Llolth storyline and hire the actor playing Moghedien to play her.
And the scene with Nynayeve and Elayne is simply the best depiction of dominate/charm person I've ever seen.
Truly next level.

I loved the Moghedian plot in the books, glad to hear it is getting good representation here.

Zoe and Ceara were simply amazing in that scene, especially Zoe in showing Nyneave's inner battle trying to resist the Complusion when Moghedien was trying to take the bracelet. I've watched a few reaction videos, and the non-book readers were truly horrified at what was happening during that scene. Like legit scared and on edge. I mean, book readers were too, but at least we already knew the gist of what would happen since the scene closely adhered to the books.

They've somehow managed to make Moghedien even more creepy and weird in the series compared to the books. Some of the stuff she did in this episode was just way out there. Bluntly, all the Foresaken so far are much improved and more interesting than their book counterparts. Well, other than Sammael, but thats just because he's had limited screen time.

The best thing the show did was to focus more on the villains earlier. As the books go along, one of the better aspects is getting more POV chapters from the Forsaken and other darkfriends. Smart move to expand things with Lanfear and to show a lot of Moghedien. Hopefully, they continue to do so.

Yeah the forsaken are some of the best parts of the show. And man are they powerful, honestly if they weren’t constantly at each others throats they would have won twice over by now. But that’s the point right…evil is strong but fragmented.

It was a definite theme in the novels that the Forsaken were fundamentally broken and incapable of working together properly...and that was on purpose from the Datk One's side.

Lord help that world if they ever discover LAWFUL Evil.
