Where do you think up your best ideas?

I'm just curious where everyone is when they think up their best ideas? For me its usually walking around. I seem to think better while I pace. This makes it difficult to write down ideas usually but such is life.

So where does inspiration strike you?

For me it tends to be when I'm in the shower. That is even more difficult a place to write down ideas. I keep a pad of paper in the bathroom so I can write down ideas as soon as I get out and dry off (ideas, or a reminder of something I have to do or get at the store).

In the shower or in the inbetween zone between sleep and wakefulness. The best ones happen in the shower, though.

I tend to have my best ideas while sitting on the bus, since it usually takes an hour to get anywhere, and there's not much else to do except stare off into space.

Also shower, as well as walking. Those are both times when one's mind doesn't have to really focus on anything...and the best ideas come when one's mind is allowed to wander where it wouldn't usually.

The general way of things looks to be while showering and a couple walkers. Anyone out there think of ideas while busy doing things or is it usually a clear mind type of thing?

I've also thought up some pretty crazy ideas while in the midst of shopping or doing other things that required at least some attention. Of course there are many times when I should be thinking about other things that I think about games so maybe that's why.
