I would have said Psion if it was a choice. True Mind Switch would be a very useful power to have. As it is, I picked Wizard

I voted Druid. You get a little of everything. I notice, however, that some people are assuming that you'd get, or be able to achieve, more than one level. But that isn't clear in your actual question.

One thing all of you who voted for the spellcasting classes are forgetting... where are you going to get all the material components for your spells? Some of them are pretty rare in the Real World, IIRC. I chose the Ranger, but on second thought, I think I will go with the Rogue; skills are fun

Same as Patryn mentioned above. I need a spell? I'll make one that's suited to my needs and then tuck it away.

Being a wizard means as long as you know the need is coming, you'll always have the right tool for the job.
