Which element could D&D stand to lose more?

If you had to cut elves or psionics, which would you?

This may be a silly question, but I'm going to ask it anyway, since I've seen a couple of discussions recently that loudly advocated the evils of each of these. If you were in charge of D&D, and for some reason that I won't bother trying to explain, you were told that it had to lose either psionics or elves, which would you prefer to see cut?

Psionics. THey are always an after thought, an add on. If the game presented them as a something in every game like they do with elves being in the core books and not an option to be added on later then it might be a different story.

I'd cut Psionics if I had to choose. Too many of my characters are elves or half-elves to cut them! And I really don't see why so many people hate the elves so much...

I'd have to go with dumping psionics. I've had more samurai, ninja and monks in my D&D games than I've had a use for psionics.

I'd have to go with cutting Psionics. There are way too many elves out there from the normal wood elf, to the half-elf, to the drow. What would the some worlds be like w/o half the population being available? Forgotten Realms wouldn't really exist w/o all the different types of elves, but there are very few psionics you have mind flayers and a few people from each other race that can do it, but for the most part it's pretty rare anyhow.

Well, the "dump the elves" camp is doing better than I'd thought it would at this early stage, with only a few precincts reporting in their numbers. I expect that they'll only lose ground as time goes on and more votes come in.
