I'd love to see a setting put together by cobbling together a bunch of existing Frazetta pics.

Angus MacBride's fantasy (LotR) actually wasn't nearly as impressive as his more recent historical work; I'd say get him again for a project, but tell him to make it historico-realistic in nature, and it'd probably be better.

Adrian Smith already does gaming, although more Warhammer stuff than RPG (yeah, Red Spire Press for getting in there!) but I'd love to see more of his work too.

And I'm glad Matt Wilson does the most excellent Privateer Press work, but I really want to see more of him across the board.

Jeffrey Jones. She did paintings for some of the Conan and Tarzan (?) book covers and she has one darn cool style. Too bad she stopped doing that kind of art and has now moved over to doing serious art. AFAIK some of her older work will be used as cover for Castly Zagyg, but I could be fatally wrong with that one :)

Frazetta. just because his style rocks the known universe

Peter Elson. He did covers for some of the Jack Vance books. Very nice and impressive style.

In all seriousness? I'd like to see Norman Rockwell's take on fantasy art.
Long live the King! Jack "King" Kirby could do some amazing stuff.
And I am a big fan of the work done by Rebecca Guay, and I'd love to see more of her stuff.

N.C. Wyeth.

Maxfield Parrish.

Well if we're going to go completely into a dream world here, I'd go for Arthur Rackham, Howard Pyle, and Edmond Dulac, too. ;)

Umm, Rick Berry wouldn't be bad, although his style is a little unusual. I'd also vote for a young artist I know who hasn't done any illustrating that I'm aware of: Matt Harpold. You can see some of his work here: http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/h/a/harpold/harpold.html

Someday he will be famous. And we have several original paintings! :p
