Bah. Batman has never been the same since Elektra died.

I castid magic missiles at teh ELEktras.

I'd be willing to use either. Think they've both got their place. Although spell slots win slightly as they've got tradition and the DnD familiarity to them...

There's a place for both.

Points are nice and simple to understand, and simulate modern fiction much better.

Slots can do some really twisted stuff - metamagic is really only scratching the surface (and can be done with points anyway). I've got ideas, oh, have I got ideas...

I think both of them have their place, but until some of the twisted stuff finds its way onto the printed page, I'm going with points in my homebrew system...

Not if Batman had a kryptonite batarang.

If he had, Inspector Gadget would simply arrest him for cake with crumbling topping.

Personally, I like my spell slots, because we aren't playing any game, we're playing D&D. Where wizards have to be smart and know what they want (to cast today).

Spell points. I hate the idea of being a wizard and to be so dependant on memorization. I want to cast what I want to cast, when I want to cast it...

"It's just a game... it's just a game... it's just a game" (daily affirmation)

Play a Sorcerer then. :D

Not if he uses his power ring. I mean duh, that's why the aliens gave it to him in the first place.

I was wandering from the general D20 community of what is their thoughts D20 rules. Which is better, Spell Slots or Magic/Spell Points?

Neither; Though I enjoy spell slots over spell points, Monte Cook's whole "Spell Weaving/Unweaving" and "heightened/diminished" Spells is now my personally favorite spell system, and gives me the flaxibility of "points" with the simplicity and power scale control of "slots."

I thought they gave it to him because he had to avenge his Uncle Ben's death? Great power and responsibility and all that.
