I have fond memories of needing 13d10 for one of my characters fire-arms checks in a modified VtM.

In MtG, someone playing a +1/+1 counter deck never has enough d6. Although if stores made boxes of mini spin-down d12s like they do d6s, I would certainly use those instead.

No!

The whole Bard stuff is nothing but slander started by Big Appendix(tm) to get the Bard into the 1e PHB.

I say d2 is the best just yes or no perfectly balanced and all that.

Just don't get too obsessed with it!

The d12 is certainly the best die. It has elegant pentagonal faces where every other die* has triangles or squares. It has a shape that is complex enough to be interesting, without having so many faces that it might as well be a sphere. Its face count can be split into halves, thirds, or quarters.

I do appreciate the ascetic minimalism and podiatric deadliness of the d4, but the way it flops on the table disappoints me with every roll, even after 30 years.

*Proper dice, anyway. I'm not talking about all those weird non-Platonic shapes. Yes, d10, I'm looking at you.

Die Another Day is probably the worst one. However, I so like Die Toten Hosen.

Meh, I'm going to go with the d10—because screw Plato! —and because my favorite RPGS (Mekton, Cyberpunk) use them for task resolution.
