I went looking for "Strawberry on the Plains" and found that the old name, which was changed before the internet got big, has been purged! Strawberry Plains, Tennessee - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. The full name of the town was something like, "The Most Excellent Strawberry on the Plains." The TN dept. of transportation complained about it for years. They finally changed, if I remember those newpaper reports correctly, in the late 80's, early 90s, to the curent form.
I always thought that it made a good possibility for a gnomish community besieged by a larger government. "Dang gnomes, the names of their towns won't fit on the page right! Do they know how much scribes charge to send a decree there!"
