White Elves

again i'm still not sure that an attack ac penalty is appropriate again more likely a reflex/fortitude save penalty would work better

if they live underground and fight Drow shouldn't the sighted ones get Darkvision

finally if the blind ones' blindsight only extends 10 ft they will be in melee alot more so maybe they should get better str and con

Thanks Bean, that is good that you are still interested. Let me see what I can do here to help iron out the last little bits here.

Blind White Elves suffering attack/AC penalties:
This was in response to people trying to take advantage of them being blind while attacking. If you can smell or hear someone while fighting, then that makes it easier to strike them (think of the reverse, someone going invisible). If the target uses a noise maker or a stink bomb, then the blind white elf would have a harder time getting to him, even with blindsight, just like an invisible caster using silence to mask his advance.

Darkvision/Low-light vision:
That is a good point, I was thinking of that too but I decided to go with the low-light vision because that is what the surface going White Elves have. I can have it as underground White Elves get Darkvision but if htey go up to the surface for a prolonged period they will get graded down to low-light vision. Might work, I will have to think on that though.

Stat bonuses:
Sorry, I want to stay true to the creators idea here, they were intended for archane and divine type characters, not sluggers. This is why there aren't that many of them and why the sections that are around still live because of powerful casters.

most scent/sound based attacks use saving throws rather than attack rolls (aside from a sonic spell or 2 that uses a touch attack) anyway and it sounds like they get a penalty to ac and attack while under the effects of a sonic or scent based attack not vs the attack itself since again their almost all saving throw attacks anyway find one stink or 5 sound attacks in the books that use an attack roll and no saving throw

Ok, I will relent on the AC penalty for Blind White Elves, however I am going to stick with an attack penalty for that. I know that other rules state differently, but I remember talking to Cyric about this and this was another thing that he wanted to keep the same... I know that may not thrill too many people, but that is what I think Cyric would want...
