[White Wolf, and own-horn-tooting] Their end, my beginning

Again, Good job, Ari! I've seen the stuff you have written for WW's Vampire, and hoped that you would be on board for WoD 2.0

I've got my copy of the Gehenna novel, but Won't get much of a chance to read it until after the weekend. I better stay off the boards to avoid spoilers :)

I know you are bound by the NDA, but can you comment on other authors and artists who are contributing to WoD 2.0? I thought I saw something on Tim Bradstreet's website about his "current" projects with White Wolf.

I thought I recognized the name at the bottom of the novel excerpts from WW's site! I picked the book up yesterday and finished it this morning. Very well done and enjoyable, IMO. I have a question for you. We see (or hear about/can infer) the fates of a few of the various clans. How many of these, if any, were handed down from Justin, and how many did you come up with yourself? (See also: with whom need I have a word about the
apparent absorption of the Tremere by the Tzimisce Eldest
? :D )

Don't know who else might be on-board art-wise, but I've also heard the rumors that Bradstreet's back working with White Wolf. I certainly hope so. :)

Other authors who have been on WoD2--though this is by no means a complete list, nor a list limited to any single specific book--include Justin Achilli (of course), C. A. Suleiman, Jacob Klunder, and Dean Shomshak.

Well, keep in mind that
not all the Tremere were necessarily absorbed/destroyed by the Tzimisce, since a number of the Tremere might have succeeded in their ritual attempt to shed the Curse of Caine and become human again. I deliberately had the number of Tremere dead in the chantry not add up to the entire clan for a reason. :)

As for what was handed down, the answer is "Very little." Justin and Phil Boulle (the fiction developer) had a few specific requirements for me--make sure you use this particular character, set a scene in this particular location, address this particular point somewhere in the novel--but overall, I had a great deal of creative freedom, so long as I got approval on the main outline, and any major changes.

There's actually a lot more I wanted to do, but as it is, the book wound up a bit longer than initially planned.

Oh, just for the record, anything I did with the Tremere, I did out of loyalty to the story, and not out of any personal agenda. Truth is, while I know a great many people despise them, I love the Tremere. One of my favorite clans (at least as an ST, if not as a player).
