[White Wolf, and own-horn-tooting] Their end, my beginning

The back of the Gehenna book (rumored... I haven't seen it myself) lists two books.

World of Darkness & Vampire: The Requiem

Sounds to me like they are going to have a standardized set of rules in the WoD book and a seperate (splat?) book just for Vampire stuff.

I like that.

PS - Congratulations Mouse!

Can he? Because if he does, I want him to do so :D

I heard that the next WoD will be using d20 rules (WoD20?). Is there anything to that rumor?

Okay, this one I can answer, because WW has already addressed it publicly.

The new WoD is not D20. It uses a variant of the Storyteller system.

As far as anything else about WoD 2.0, well, until you folks show up at my door with either baseball bats or wads of cash (I prefer the latter option, personally), I'm staying mum. ;)

Congrats Ari!!

I have been out of the WoD scene for quite a while...but have tried to keep up with meta-plot on messageboards and such....and JUST read the previews from the book yesterday!

"I said to myself...hmmmm....looks like good reading..."

But now I'm sold on it...never made the name connection!

Congrats!!

Can you give your opinion?
As in, do you think the new system handles combat better than the old?

I honestly can't say--and I don't just mean because of any NDA I've signed. I had very little to do with systems and mechanics; the vast majority of my work was on setting material, and what little I did see of the mechanics has been revised since I saw it. So I don't really know much more about them at this stage than the previously released "variant of the Storyteller system."

Sorry.

Thats cool. Thanks anyway.

I don't suppose you can confirm or deny the World of Darkness as a core book/Vampire: the Requiem as a "splat" book thing can you? :)

Congrats on the book Mouseferatu.
I got the hardback Gehenna book, but I haven't picked up the novel yet. I'll make sure to do so now. The gehenna hardback presents 4 different scenarios for the end of the cainites, I was wondering if your book follows along one of these four scenarios, and if so, which one is it based on?

The novel isn't directly tied into any of them, but I think (I can't say for sure, since I haven't read most of the hardcover myself) that it can be interpreted as leading into one of them, if you look at it right.
