Not really, IMO. I've only met one person who ever thought they were good books and I've known dozens who have read them.

Dragonlance was epic, I will agree there.

Shanara Chronicles is also not a WotC property so it doesn't matter.
It also doesn't matter because MTV is producing a mini-series from it that starts airing next year.
 

I’d say that while neither Shannara nor Dragonlance were good books, at a certain age and time, they definitely had a big impact.

Also, no one has mentioned Ridley and Snails :D

The best Shanara book was Wishsong and has the best character in that realm in that book
Garet Jax though I did like Walker Boh from the Heritage (yes I read the first 7 books)
