Bront
The man with the probe
I generaly like quite a few systems, and am willing to play in them. I'm also willing to try just about anything.
However, I have found that a good system can add to the game, just as a bad one can take away. Many of the newer systems are much more openended than some of the older ones, that I find them more enjoyable in general.
Generaly, I play mostly D20 (mostly fantasy flavor) right now, but have reciently played 7th Seas, Dragonquest 3rd Ed, Shadowrun, Tales of Wyn'D'Myre, Pendragon, and Call of Cthullu. Each has it's perks and drawbacks.
I will say is my biggest pet pieve in a system is a lack of a truely diverse skill and/or combat system. Without a diverse skill system, many characters end up similar outside of combat, and without a diverse combat system, many characters end up similar in combat. The only bigger pieve is huge game imbalance issues, and even those I can deal with.
