I think I would play just about anything, given the right people. I certainly have games that I like better than others, but I'm willing to give just about anything a try. There have been a few game systems I have not had good experiences with, but that was probably due to the GM and/or adventure more than the system. Good players can overcome almost all rule problems or system limitations.

I dislike a large number of systems but still game in about 3-4 different systems and genres. However, I won't play in a game that I don't like - it isn't a matter of pouting or trying to get my way. When the group elected to let the "killer" DM run for a few months, I suddenly had a change in schedule and was unable to make the game (PS Killer = My 3rd level paladin going toe to toe with a 17th level fighter = paladin at -43 in round one = no fun for me).

I'll play a large variety of games. I have may favorites, of course (D&D, HERO, Storyteller, Shadowrun).

The only one I can think of that I have played that I won't play again is GURPS, my hat of which know no limit.

Most things - and I have tried a lot back in the old days, but I favour playing either D&D or BRP games.

current faves: 3.5 D&D, BRP CoC, Conan RPG

waiting to try: C&C, D20 modern

Old faves: OD&D(1974), RQ2, Metamorphosis Alpha

I am a gamer.

I play almost any system. Sure, I have favourites (Ars Magica, Over The Edge, RuneQuest), but I have played under the rules of probably nearly two dozen systems in my 30 years of gaming.

Heck, I'm not very fond of GURPS, to give one example, but I was involved in a wonderful Tekumel campaign using those rules.

Personally I believe that any set of rules will work given the right GM and the right players.

I'll try any RPG with (almost) anyone.

There was a time I'd have played with literally anyone, but I've got a bit more selective in my old age.

I have had plenty of fun playing my least favourite systems with some of my least favourite people.

Today I have the privilige of playing one of my favourite systems (3.5 D&D) with some of my closest friends, but I am always glad to try out new games with new people if I get the chance (especially if I don't have to be the GM, for once).

I'll play (and have played) almost any system.

But there are some things I just don't enjoy (such as a campaign that is inherently evil). So those systems that have default evil campaigns I tend to shy away from. But if the DM is going to run things differently, I might be talked into trying it.
