As Goblyn said in this thread, add me to the big pile o' gaming prostitutes. :)

Give me your THAC0, your BAB,
your percentile scores
yearning to be rolled;
send these, the playerless un-dice-tossed, to me;
I lift my rulebooks beside the convention-hall door.

I just picked "a few"... there are certatin kinds and styles of games I like and those I just don't care for. A good group can smooth over a lot of reservations though.

The rule I've generally found true runs thusly: There is no game so bad that the right GM and players can't have fun with it.

The corollary: There is no game so good that the wrong GM or players cannot ruin it.

I'll play almost anything, if the DM and the players are good. There are only a few settings or systems whose foundations I can't stand and which I'd rather avoid regardless of the other players.

Any group can overcome the game. It doesn't stop a sucky system from starting to grate on the 3rd or 4th session....
Exactly my point. I'm not quite that laissez-faire about system that I can completely ignore a stupid one, even with a fun group.

Ayup. We were having fun playing Rifts for a while, but there came a point that I just got tired of fighting the system. :(

A wide but not infinite number of systems - there are some that I just don't like and won't play.(though it has to be pretty darned bad...)

There are settings that I have no interest in, Cyberpunk? Yay, call when it's over.

There are themes that I will not touch. Evil games where the PCs wade through the blood of innocents and glory in every second of it? No thanks. (Evil games with a theme of redemption is another matter.)

My time is limited and there are some really good systems out there, so why play something I don't truly enjoy? I've tried a lot of systems over the years, and I know I can have fun with my group of friends in most circumstances. But I've recently passed up on a Star Wars campaign run by a great GM because I don't enjoy the system nor the world setting. Another example of my DM Snobbery, I suppose.

I'd play most things (and have, probably, now that I can cross M&M off the list). Will not play anything with a heavy oriental or anime theme, though.

You got me there Rodrigo, I despise anime. I can't say I'd play anything.
