Who else is having a GREAT day?

I new this thread was here somewhere ....

and rather than start a new one I think I will add to this.
Finished my first pin up in a planning/design studio. It was well liked. :)
the drawing techinque was not flawless, but the design was good.
It is a lot of fun to realize that you have avoided most of the flaws present in the other designs. I guess the 19 hours I have put into the project over the last week were not wasted.

For those who havent done design pin ups they can be brutal as all your classmates do their best to critique your drawing.

whee! I like gradschool.

Peter Gibbons: So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.
Dr. Swanson: What about today? Is today the worst day of your life?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah.
Dr. Swanson: Wow, that's messed up

Well, today probably isn't the worst day of my life, but I usually think about this scene from Office Space when someone asks about my day.

My day started off terrifically. After my third night of 10-hour-sleeps in a row, I had a nice breakfast and started walking to class. Along the way, I began to think of how college is going, and (despite really enjoying the heck out of it) if it's worth all the money my parents are spending. Then I started thinking about responsibilities (which I've always had a tough time fulfilling), and summer jobs, and my future... and all that's sort of put me in a funk. It's now 1:30 in the morning, I've got to get up in six and a half hours, and, well, I don't know.

So hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to wake up and have a better, carefree day. After all, it is Friday!

having a wonderful day.

two days ago in the rain. a woman hit the rear end of my truck doing 40 mph while i was stopped at a traffic light. pushed my pickup out into the intersection.

i didn't even want to look at her in my mirror for fear of what a mess i'd see.

luckily her airbags went off and she had a seatbelt on... so we both walked away unharmed. her car was totalled. my truck was still driveable.

she was young (mid to late 20's) with kids at home with her husband. he came with the kids to pick her up. she ended up getting a traffic ticket from the police.

but happily we were both okay.

yesterday, i was sore as all get out. my neck, shoulders, back... you name it. like when you use muscles that you didn't know you had.

today, i'm feeling better. just a little sore. a couple ibuprofen... and i'm okay again. whew...

Hey, glad you're OK, Diaglo. That intersection could have been dangerous, glad nothing worse happened. Keep on truckin' like the doodah man. ;)

Same here. Glad that everyone could walk away from the accident and that you're doing ok, diaglo.

Glad you're doing OK, man. How bad off is the truck?

Bumper and the spare tire (which normally hung under the truck bed) need replacing. Everything else just fine. My airbags didn't even blow. Tail gate didn't even get a scratch.

The other car, Honda Accord, is now a Honda Accordion. My spare landed on the windshield and left it cracked. The whole front end is demolished.

What make and model is your truck? It sounds like it's "Built Ford Tough" but I don't want to assume...
