Who is the coolest death god(dess)?

Mictlantecuhtli and Mictecacihuatl, the lord and lady of the underworld in Aztec myth. The only example of a married pair of death gods I can think of.

Persephone is queen of the dead and married to Hades the god of the underworld and the dead. She just gets to go back to her earth goddess mom for extended visits every year. :)

Oðinn

Hung himself from the Tree of Woe long enough for a near-death experience to learn the runes. Literally gave his right eye to sup from Mimir's Well of wisdom. According to Tacitus, the Germans would sacifice people prior to battle to ensure victory and sacfifice afterwards to celebrate the victory. According to Adam of Bremen, every year in Uppsala there was mass Human sacrifice. Oðinn's companions are a pair of ravens and a pair of wolves, both scavengers of the dead.

Valkyries and Oðinn's mead-hall! What's not to love about that?!? I love valkyries so much that my daughter's middle name is Brynhild.

As far as I can tell Persephone is a goddess of vegetation, althought she is married to Hades.

Wee Jas sounds like a name for a fairy.

I don't quite get what is so cool about Ereshkigal.
