Who Should Make The Next Star Wars TTRPG, And What Should It Look Like?

Star Wars may be the best licensed TTRPG setting there is (IMHO, of course). It has so much built into it that makes for great roleplaying adventure. Obviously, we have seen a number of different Star Wars RPGs over the years, and everyone has their favorite. But if you were the one to decide, who do you think should make the next Star Wars TTRPG, and what should that game look like.

I really love the old d6 system, but personally I would be behind a Modiphius 2d20 version of the game. i think Momentum and Threat could add a lot to the way the game playes, and generally i like the 2d20 system (I know the system has some detractors). In addition, Modiphius is known for solid licensed works and I would trust them with the franchise.

What about you?

I detest 2D20.

Personally, I think the answer is D6 with hit points and levels (of a sort) plus much more rigorous balancing of the supplemental content like races, equipment, vehicles, etc. After running D6 for about 4 years I'm beginning to see where the system needs to go. Maybe in four more years I'll be ready to put all my thoughts together.

Modephius and their 2d20 suggest they could pull it off.

However, I'm going to go with Brotherwise Games and theor Plotweaver system...which given the FFG personnel and DNA there, would sort of be like the Genesys system version and the old d20 WotC edition having a baby.

I'd use Level Up, particularly it's Voidrunner's Codex sci-fi supplement, modified with material from other 5e-based games (including the aforementioned Star Wars 5e). Oh wait, I already do that! Wrote up a bunch of Star Wars fighters as well.
