Okay, I've seen Tru Calling trashed repeatedly on the boards. Personally, I like it. Sure, it isn't as good as Buffy or Angel (which it's going to get associated with because of Elisha "Faith" Dushku), but it entertains me.

Anyway, that's beside the point. I just want to get an idea of how many people actually watch it.

Haven't missed an episode yet. I have no idea why people would compaire it to Buffy. The shows have very little in common. I like the show, there are parts of it that have bothered me and just didn't make sense though.

Right now, my major fear is that Jason Priestley is going to turn out to be an "evil leaper". If they do something else with him, I think things will start to get a lot better.

I'd be interested to hear what you thought was bothersome.

I watch it every week. While it's not my favorite show, it's far from the worst thing out there. :)

A couple of the characters bother me, mainly Harrison and Tru's friend Lindsay. Harrison because the stuff he does he deserves to get in trouble for the stupid stuff he does and not be protected by his sister. Lindsay is just a pain. Strikes me a rich snob type. Ugh.

The poll doesn't really reflect what I would vote. I don't watch it and never have. But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't like it if I did watch it.

So, no, I don't watch it but I don't have an opinion on if it is any good or not. The premise doesn't really do much for me, tho.

Why did Tru never call the cops when the guy was trying to kill her step mom and then her? Why didn't she demand her father call them? THat whole episode just ended in a very unrealistic way.

But the real thing is how the other guy dediced that she can do what she does. First, it was just a few less bodies and Tru acting odd. So, of course one deduces she relives days. THat was just a stretch of an excuse there is no way she should have bought it. Now, he says it because he investigated her mother and deduced she could do this. It's just such an odd deduction for anyone to make; completely unrealistic.

It just doesn't seem like there is a lot of good solid thinking to the overall seasonal plot. The show works as individual episodes, but the more I see of the season it just doesn't seem to pull together well.

I have nothing against the premise or the show. I'm just not home/around enough to watch it or to even get into it enough to give it a chance or an opinion. I only hear about it every so often second-hand from my brother that likes the show. :)

Admittedly, it's always fun looking at Eliza Dushku :] but the show hasn't grabbed me enough to watch it regularly. Network executives' fear of having strong contiguous plot development for fear of alienating the audience really gets to me; you might have one major plot development every five shows or so, and it's REALLY keeping me from following this or very many other shows without that element.

I'm not going to post Takyris' "plot synopsis" of the series here, but his point made in another thread about the episodes being rather formulaic really echo with me whenever I've watched it so far.

Hmm... I hadn't considered that possibility. "Never heard of it," probably is the closest, IMHO (after the fact).
