My character and another, both dwarf rogues, had a few extra unauthorised rations of ale while travelling on a ship. They found our characters passed out in the depths of the ship, we were busted. the punishment for stealing from the crew was hanging from the yard arms until we reached port if we were found guilty. We were but our lawyer got them to agree to hang us from our feet. It was two days to home, which they stretched to four due to "bad wind". If another PC hadn't charmed the guards and gotten us water on the second night, we would have been dead.
