Well, it's not so much that I like it (though on occasion), but I often feel "hemmed in" by the need to pay some heed to reality, and it subtly bothers me when I make up stuff about the "real world" that isn't, well, real. This is a bugaboo for me in almost any setting "layered" on top of a contemporary setting, not just supers.

And yeah, I like world creation.

That said, I do find it convenient to use my knowledge of real world locations to tap into in order to create detailed descriptions and situations. When I was running my old second world game, I found that things ran very smooth when I could just talk to hotels, hang-outs, shopping locales, etc., that I knew.
