This is my major online hangout, they needed the money, and being a single guy with a pretty good job gives you disposable income unless you want to try and buy a house in SoCal...

I would happily become a Community Supporter. The only thing stopping me is that I will not deal with PayPal, having been burnt in the past. If there was an avenue where I could send a cheque or money order, then it would be in the mail today.

I ponied up for a CS account in 2003, I think. At the time, I was getting quite a bit out of this place, and it was a worthwhile use of some money, at the time.

If you like to dig around looking through old threads, the search function is worth the price of admission.

I've been wanting to get a Community Supporter account for a while now. Not because I think I'd really use the benefits, but because I'd like to support the community. However, the life expenditures of college have prevented me thusfar, but it looks as though I'll be able to get one in a month or two. But it just got me thinking about why others have purchased accounts and whether or not they thought it was or was not a good investment. So...

Why did/would you get a CS account?
Why wouldn't/havn't you?
Are you happy with your decision?

I originally bought the CS account so that I could search some old threads for game material. I stuck with ENWorld because I spend some much time here. This place is a great community of people who share a lot of the same passions as me. I want to support this place and keep it functioning because I do not like the alternative. So I am very happy with my decision. I just renewed last month! I encourage you to join when you can afford it. The intangible benefits far outweigh the tangibles.

I've been hanging out here since it was Eric Noah's Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition Rumors page. Its home. When you live somewhere, you help out when you can.
