Will psionics be in PHB 2, and when is PHB2 released? :)

Sorry if this is widely known and I missed it :p

Hope to play Dark Sun 4th ed, but since Psionics isn't in first release of 4th ed...has it been fixed for sure where and when psionics are being added?

Thanks! :)

They have said that they already worked up the psionic rules while still finishing 4e basics so that it will mesh fine. So, although it hasn't been confirmed, it's a really, really good bet that psionics will be in PHB2 next summer considering a chunk of the work is already done.

Psionic is planned for PHB2, but they're not sure it'll fit.

From an interview at D&DXP here:
Question: What power sources can we look forward to in PHB2?

Answer: Andy Collins was hesitant to promise any because they have just started designing the book. There is an aggressive plan for how much to fit in the book and he’s not sure that all of it is feasible. The two power sources that are highest on the list are Psionic and Primal, but he doesn’t know if it will all make it in. Apparently, they were not able to fit all of the Divine and Arcane information into the first PHB, so the subsequent information will also need space in the second book.

I am going to personally guarantee, with all the power I have to guarantee it, that psionics will be in the PHB2.

(Disclaimer: By, "psionics will be in the PHB2", Kwalish Kid means that the letters, "p", "s", "i", "o", "n", and "c" will appear in the PHB2 enough so that one can use these letters to spell the word, "psionics", or, failing the availability of those letters, Kwalish Kid will refer to a document that has rules for using psionics in 4E as "PHB2".)

Thank you Kwalish Kid, that was I all needed to hear... I can rest easy now... :D

Hey, Wait a Second!

Concidering that WotC has stated that there are going to be 8 power sources that will cover 90% of the classes and that of the 3 most likely sources are Psionics, Primal and Shadow, which source would take up the most room?
Psionics is my guess, so PHB2 will most likely contain the remainder of Arcane and Divine and the complete psionics. That would leave Primal and Shadow for PHB3 and the last 3 sources for PHB4.

I don't think we will see any Arcane, Divine or Martial in PHB2. I think it will just be Psionic, Primal and Shadow.

So far too, Primal seems to have the most classes that will probably fall under it:
-Barbarian
-Druid
-Sorcerer
-Bard

I think there's an immense imbalance in PHB I, where half of the classes are coming from only one power source. I hope they don't do the same thing with the psionic in PHB II. If they announce on the cover of the book "Anything you need to create your Psionic, Primal, and Shadow heroes" and there are 4 psionic, 2 primal, and 2 shadow classes, I will get mad. Because out of both PHB you'll get 16 classes for 6 power sources. And out of those 6 power sources, 2 power sources would receive half of the space. I want more evenness.
