I already have the basic three books on pre-order at Amazon.

Now; the question of if my gaming group is going to switch or not is completely different...

I shifted from "after a few reviews" to "probably not, but might eventually".

I don't know, I'm just getting a bad feeling about it. What I've seen so far doesn't excite me. Plus the guys I play with are completely against it, so that doesn't help.

I'll check out the SRD and reviews and I'll probably start by seeing if I can push some of the rule changes into my game now as a test bed. Maybe 1-2 years after release I'll make the jump, but we'll see.

Odd wording in this poll. There is a "probably not buy it", but no "probably will buy it", for example.

I didn't want to change the wording of the original poll so as to not skew the results in some way.

Given how much I already know about 4e and how much I will know by the time the books are released, calling it "sight unseen" would be an exaggeration, but, yes, I do intend at this time to buy at least the PHB as soon as it is released.

I'll be 3.5-ing it for the forseeable future. I like to check out the 4e stuff for ideas. I read the 4e boards. But given the existence of the SRD I seriously doubt I will be buying any D&D books for some time, having loaded up on excellent wholesale 3.5 books.
