After absorbing Giles' power, though, she seemed to believe that she was the most powerful human spellcaster ever...If that is to be taken at face value, then at that point, yes, she was unstoppable.
She seemed to believe alot on the show...
In fact when see took on Glory the year before by herself see seemed pretty sure see could kill her...
And see didn't...
But then again...
It is a show...
And a 20th level wizard is in no way the most powerful in dnd, and it's pretty clear she was not so powerful that 20th level one couldn't kill her.
And like Corinth said...

Plus each magic system is totally different.
Another thing is all her magic is stolen for the most part, from books, from other people, etc.
It was all wacky, they just wanted Willow to be a 'villan' but not die.
Like the rest of last season is didn't make much sense.
I'm still asking why a guy that makes jet pacts and buffy bots and freeze rays wasn't smart enough to get an assault rifle with grenades instead of a crap a-- pistol to take out buffy and all her buds and make sure he finished the job, even a shotgun and tnt would have been cooler.
The writing on that show sucked pretty bad last season, it's too bad it too, it was one of the best things on tv for awhile, I guess they ran out of ideas.
Ooo, what if he built a robot suit to kill buffy and burned her house down with a flame thrower, now that would have been cool.
