That was my idea, only I couldn't post it, 'cause I was reading this at work while my operating system was slow.

I thought: Time Stands Still.

Umm... as for descriptions, I can do something. Given how many people ask me for help (at least with grammar!), I *think* people like my descriptions. My own tend to be short, though. This type of thing should have a long, pretty description. So, I can just toss ideas in to be worked into the whole.

Since the last one was in The Pegasus, why not have one in the Garden? Course, nothing wrong with the Pegasus, since it *is* a ball room. Does the Roads have a ball room too? Just to spread things around. Of course, it's up to Siani or Nash.

Yes, the CrossRoads Tavern has a ballroom. It's on the floor directly above the tavern. (The inn-type rooms are on the upper floors.) OOC-wise, like the Pegasus room, it appears only when needed. IC-wise, it can be rented out by any of the populace for special occasions, as well as used for whatever occasion the proprietor herself deems fit.

As many of you know I've always enjoyed the IC events. I'm up for playing host, but wont have time for planning, that'll have to be left to the patrons this year I think. You're welcome to use the Pegasus if you'd like. Once you get some ideas I can help with the descrip for the room.

I hope this one will be in January again, like one of them (can't remember which..blargh..) was. So all the holidays are generally out of the way and such... I know in December, me, amongst many others, wouldn't really have time. Us spur-of-the-moment people are hard to get plans, especially in lazy season. Just a thought.

And this was the descrip of the Pegasus Ballroom last year
The Pegasus Ballroom is transformed tonight into a huge cavern of ice! The center of the floor is a roped off smooth circular ice rink, with a small booth to one side where skates can be borrowed. Pillar torches and braziers provide light and warmth, as it is cold in here! Tiny Will-O-Whisps float magically through the air and huge sparkling icicles are magically light from within, casting a soft sparkling light. Music floats from a stage at the far end of the cave, the area creating perfect acoustics for the entire cave. Along one wall of the cave is a long table covered with refreshments that include roasted meats, winter veggies, sweet breads, cakes, roasted chestnuts and sweet meats. To drink is punch, a steaming hot cocoa and a spiked mulled cider.

Thought this would help, maybe some of last year's ideas can be considered.

If you'd like to run some sort of contest, I can again try to offer up my famous rum cake recipe that nobody won from the summer strawberry social.
