WizKids to Release Adult Blue Dragon Figure Based on Dragon Delves

Anthradusk, the adult blue dragon featured in Dragon Delves, is coming to the tabletop. WizKids has announced plans to produce an 8-inch tall figure of the unique Blue Dragon, with a planned release date of December 2025. The blue dragon comes equipped with a unique pendulum blade attached to its tail, as well as its signature lightning weapon. The blue dragon also bears scars from a recent fight with a brass dragon, a battle which it emerged victorious from. The figure currently has no retail price listed, but similar dragon figures cost $79.99.

Anthradusk serves as the antagonist of Dragon Delves' final adventure, which means that its the "final boss" for those looking to convert Dragon Delves into a full-length campaign. The dragon is attempting to use a brass dragon egg to resurrect several ancient blue dragons to subjugate a desert region.

I wasn't crazy about the new art, but this mini really nails it for me. Love the wings and the tail blade.

Same here - the new dragon designs mostly did not appeal to me, but if the actual mini stays close to the render, I might pick this up just for a display piece.

I grew up on and loved the 3E/4E/5E style of blue dragons (they were one of my faves) so this still looks alien to me. Clearly a dragon, but like from another franchise or something. Oh well, I already got my big blue dragon sculpt in 2009 or whenever, this can be for others, no shade.

Yeah, I’m really showing my age, because this doesn’t feel like a blue dragon to me.

But I’m no longer the target audience for prepainted D&D minis (I paint them myself), so it’s not like they’re losing a potential sale from me.

That's cool. Sort of reminds me of one of the big blue dragon Pathfinder minis.
But the big bad of the book is an Adult, not an Ancient? I ran Red Hand of Doom a year or so ago and the lvl 12 party trounced the blue dragon in it, even after I upped it to an ancient (admittedly I ran A5E).

He’s an Ancient, and the mini is Ancient size and called an Ancient dragon. I have no clue why Christian has reported it as being an adult.

Wow, I am not a fan of dragons wearing items, but this is the best blue dragon mini I have ever seen. I love the new design, clearly a D&D blue but new and fresh. However, I do mish the ears - some version of those should have stayed IMO. Maybe I will add them?!

It is actually an ancient dragon (as others have noted); however, Dragon Delves is a bunch of discrete adventures, not a singular campaign. So it is not necessarily an end of campaign level big bad (nor should be at CR 23).

See I grew up with 1e blue dragons and they were one of may favorites. I really disliked the changes started in 3e (and continue in 4e and early 5e) and see this new design as harkening back to the original - and I like it! Probably my favorite after the red or maybe 3rd (after the gold too). I do still miss the ears though and wish they are try a new take on them instead of eliminating them.

Well, that makes more sense then; the article obviously made a mistake. Wizkids gargantuan, ancient dragons typically sell for much more than $79.99, so that figure is likely in error as well.
