Anthradusk is coming.

Anthradusk, the adult blue dragon featured in Dragon Delves, is coming to the tabletop. WizKids has announced plans to produce an 8-inch tall figure of the unique Blue Dragon, with a planned release date of December 2025. The blue dragon comes equipped with a unique pendulum blade attached to its tail, as well as its signature lightning weapon. The blue dragon also bears scars from a recent fight with a brass dragon, a battle which it emerged victorious from. The figure currently has no retail price listed, but similar dragon figures cost $79.99.

Anthradusk serves as the antagonist of Dragon Delves' final adventure, which means that its the "final boss" for those looking to convert Dragon Delves into a full-length campaign. The dragon is attempting to use a brass dragon egg to resurrect several ancient blue dragons to subjugate a desert region.

Additional looks at the dragon figure can be seen below:

Pretty disappointed this is Ancient sized instead of Adult. I was looking forward to building a full set of the new designs as they released, but I don’t want the set to be in mismatched size categories. And Adult is a more versatile size, you can fudge it down to Young or up to Ancient and more or less get away with it, whereas an Ancient mini would never pass for a Young dragon.
I suspect they will do an Adult Blue that’s generic in the future.

Also, the easley red dragon you posted is very similar to the MM red dragon standard. It has all of the distinguishing features: a single row of neck/back spikes, no horns, and a cheek "frill". In fact, I would call it one of the best 1e MM red dragon versions ever.

I mean the image you posted is same design as the MM, just made by a better artist.

Sutherland did a lot of classic D&D art, but I did not particularly like his dragons, especially when they were depicted head-on as they were here or on the cover of the 1977 Holmes Basic set. I got all of my AD&D books in the late 80’s and so they were all from the later “orange spine” series. Easley’s red dragon vs. pegasi MM cover was some of the best D&D cover art ever, and definitely my favorite. I wonder if it is available as a print.

See I grew up with 1e blue dragons and they were one of may favorites. I really disliked the changes started in 3e (and continue in 4e and early 5e) and see this new design as harkening back to the original - and I like it! Probably my favorite after the red or maybe 3rd (after the gold too). I do still miss the ears though and wish they are try a new take on them instead of eliminating them.
I like that Dragon Delves shows the evolution and history of the visual design for all ten archetypes: really highlights that there has always been some variety in the depictions, even with common theeads.

This looks so cool!

Also I must be in the minority because I love seeing depictions of dragons wearing various pieces of jewelry or armor or other things. Obviously I wouldn’t expect all of them to wear stuff like this but surely some would.
I don't like them wearing stuff either... usually. Dragons would probably believe that they're too superior to supplement their glory with magical trinkets... but a few here and there that see the necessity and/or love the jewelry etc. don't go amiss.

I always wondered how dragons managed to use their huge clawed hands to collect hoards of treasure made by small human hands, especially coins. I guess they all have Mage Hand or some other telekinetic power.

I’m having trouble with the Wizkids shop site…it won’t open the cart to let me buy it for some reason on my iPad.

Edit- worked the next day :)
