We can't use it if YOU don't own it.

If you post it here, it becomes public domain and that's a weird topic I don't even want to get into. Needless to say, copyright law is going to go through some changes in the next 5 years because of the internet and who owns what.

Hell. If I wanted, I could say I own the rights to the text on some internet joke and since no one can trace it (lest they've saved everything they've ever sent, including dates, etc), it leads to all sorts of questions of ownership.

Safe to say, that if it appears here, we won't include it.

Once we print it, post your ideas to your hearts content.

Nertz. I was hoping people could do so, so I could see what other people have written. But I don't want to wait that long. This is the computer age, damnit. Instant gratification!
 

...and I just spotted a typo in my submission. Eek! Not a good first impression! :) Ah well, I'm giving an editor something to do.
