WotC: Goodbye, Loren Greenwood, hello Greg Leeds

First Post
Wizards of the Coast markets the D&D RPG.

However, the 800 pound gorilla in the room is Magic: The Gathering. They also make Duel Masters, Maple Story, Star Wars Miniatures, Avalon Hill, Axis & Allies Miniatures, D&D Miniatures, and at least a half-dozen other products. You could almost think of the Magic Pro Tour (which promises $3 million in cash prizes each year alone) as another product line.

All told, the roleplaying game is probably less than 25% of total Wizards sales.

Greg Leeds is not managing the roleplaying game we love. He's managing the manager. Frankly, a lot of the power behind the throne has always been Wizards R&D. They might play lots of games besides D&D, but Wizards R&D are gamers through and through (even the head honcho of R&D: Bill Rose).
