Out of curiosity, how much information did they release prior to 3E's release?

I've pre-ordered, but for those who might be on the fence... far too many it seems... this tactic may have come too late, and too many "Luddites" have made up their minds and are purposefully slagging the whole 4E project. My local store, one which is running two official pre-release 4E games, has nothing good to say about it. So his bias is turning people (young players) off thus any online teasers are not going to make a big difference at this point.
A month ago, even two, would have made a big difference.

In my experience with any major anticipated game launch, all concerns about “released info” or lack there of go out the window during launch week. This message board will be awash with threads like “Did you get it??” and “Upload pics please OMG!!”. I foresee that many of the on-the-fencers will get caught up in the fervor.
Yeah, that's a really stupid thing to do IMO. Even if the owner personally hates it, he should be talking up the edition and trying to put a positive spin on it so people will buy the books. Really, really dumb.OchreJelly said:Should it surprise me to see game store proprietors sabotaging their own sales?
Or he could continue being honest with his customers so those customers continue to choose to shop at his store, and not at some other store that doesn't lie to them in order to get their money.Jonathan Moyer said:Yeah, that's a really stupid thing to do IMO.
