Editorial Calendar

Highlights:

"Ecology of the Sharn," I remember Brian James talking about this over on the Candlekeep Forums (I lurk there occassionally)

"The Art of the Kill" - I'm assuming this is the Assassin article

A new Bestiary and Codex of Betrayal. Kind of curious about "Party Building 101."

Also, confirmation that there will be a Martial Power 2 since we're getting the Playtest material...

Looks like a good month! Codex, Ecology & Bestiary in the same issue makes me a happy DM. Assassin article should be fun too!

Gah, I don't want to wait that long for the PHB2...

Am I reading it wrong, or is it still only two adventures, one of which is part of the AP? If so, I continue to be disappointed in this iteration of Dungeon.

The Dragon content looks all interesting, but still has too few articles. I really want the short, 1 page, class columns to come back. But, I'm happy about the articles they do have, which I consider high quality.

Martial Power 2? Ugh.

I know they were going to do a new PH, MM, and DM Guide every year, but do they really have to do multiples of EVERY book now?

Yea... this is something I am having a beef with as well. I know the adventures are longer (sometime by a good bit) but I would like 3 each month.

Why not, if they have good content, especially if it builds on new design space? I'd rather they continue support for earlier classes rather than completely move onto the next thing. Also, as an artificer player, I look forward to their continued support in Arcane Power 2 since they'll miss out on the first one :).

Are their Martial Power source classes in PHB2?

If so I wonder if that's hwo they plan to do stuff? MP2 would have updates for the PHB2 martial characters? (And so on)

But there aren't any martial powered characters in PH2. Its Arcane, Divine, and Primal.

Maybe the editorial meant to say Primal Power?

I would hope they at least get all the basics out before they keep retreading over top of what we already have. I'd rather have PH 3 before MP2. I can live with more than one Player's Handbook a year!
