WotC News - Is this for real???

Complete Warrior 2 will be Complete Fighting-Man :p
I was actually thinking that Complete Armsman could work. Let's see, what else...

Complete Soldier
Complete Myrmidon (sketchy, given that 'Maelstrom' was apparently too complicated)
Complete Hero (same problem as 'Adventurer' had, though)
Complete Breakfast
Complete Warlord
Complete Combatant

Anybody wanna wager that the total number of 3.5e Complete books are going over OR under the total number of 2e Complete Player's books (9)?

Your count of the 2e Complete books is short:

Complete Fighter's Handbook
Complete Thief's Handbook
Complete Priest's Handbook
Complete Wizard's Handbook
Complete Psionics Handbook
Complete Book of Dwarves
Complete Bard's Handbook
Complete Book of Elves
Complete Book of Halflings and Gnomes
Complete Humanoids Handbook
Complete Ranger's Handbook
Complete Paladin's Handbook
Complete Druid's Handbook
Complete Barbarian's Handbook
Complete Ninja's Handbook

for a total of fifteen, or eleven if you discount the races. (There's also the Complete Book of Necromancers, but that was intended for DMs, so I didn't include it in the list.)

The current 'set' of Complete books will take us to nine. There may be a "Complete Psionic 2" or a "Complete Incarnum", "Complete Nine Swords", or something else, although I doubt it. There may also be a third 'set', but that will depend heavily on when 4e is released.

Edit: My count was short! Now fixed.

You also didn't include the Complete Sha'irs Handbook (Al-Qadim) and the Complete Spacefarer's Handbook (Spelljammer) which had similar leatherette/plasticky covers.

Cheers

And Complete Gladiator's Handbook (Dark Sun)

Hmmm, I really like the title 'Complete Scoundrel'. :) It is a much more likely construct in any sentence that I am likely to fabricate than the term 'Complete Mage'.

And indeed, in a recent steam era game I did indeed label a miscreant as 'a complete scoundrel and bounder at large'. As the fellow, no gentleman to be sure, had just been caught while cheating at cards it seemed that there was no other recourse.

Besides, who cares what the book's called?

Clearly, WoTC does. "Books with Dragon in the title sell well, and books with the word Magic in the title sell well. Dragon Magic should sell really, really well. Make a book about it."
True story!

I want to see Complete Gadabout
