WotC News - Is this for real???

Any 3e books with titles that begins with the word "Complete" are lame to begin with because it is NEVER complete. :] :] :]

Anybody wanna wager that the total number of 3.5e Complete books are going over OR under the total number of 2e Complete Player's books (9)? Sorry, the Races of series don't count on a technicality (No "Complete" in their titles).

:p

Well, how can Races of Stone not count if we're counting the Complete Book of Dwarves/Elves/etc...?

No "Complete" in the title. ;)

They would count (and acquire my sighs of disappointment) had they title it, Complete Races of Stone.

"Complete Scoundrel" - are they messing with us, or are they going for the Lamest RPG Book Title Ever Award?

Yeah, maybe it's not GREAT...but then again, there's nothing overly clever or fascinating about "Vikings D20," either.

Just saying. ;)

I think we are having an English-English vs American-English problem here.

I think on the other side of the pond "Scoundrel" is a much stronger, and more negative word. Think of "hoodlum" or "cad" but somewhat stronger.

Huh. I'm Canadian, and I've always had the association with that "stronger, more negative word". It may just be because I'm well read, but I've never really associated it with something more "lighthearted" or what have you. Of course, YMMV.

I'm also aware of the d20SW base class (synonymous with the rogue, essentually?) but this word is, IM(NS)HO definity appropriate for what the book is about, and what it should (and hopefully will be) bringing to D&D.

cheers,
