WotC_Rodney on Ari M. and Al Qadim

Planescape and Spelljammer were mood setting. They can be reconcepted to the default cosmilogy and still retain the mood if done by the right people.
As for Mystara I'll echo the general sentiment that there were some excellent gazeteers (Glantri, Karameikos) alongside some terrible ones. I think the best way to use them would be to make them optional locations inside the default World.

Oh this makes me shiver. Can Mystara come back too. Then Spelljammer and Planescape. Well I doubt Planescape since Wizards destroyed it. However, please help Mystara next oh I love this setting and the Mouse is on it Thank you.

Mystara and Hollow World ahhh... never had the chance to adventure there but would love to.

I would love to see something on all of those old settings as well, even if I don't run them.

I think it is inaccurate to say that Wizards killed Planescape. Removing the Great Wheel as the assumed cosmology does nothing to prevent it coming back in particular setting.

Don't be silly. Mystara died in the spellplague! :D ;)

In other news, hoping for 4e Al Qadim! *crosses fingers*

I liked Al Qadim but since I played Prince of Persia on computer I have always desired roleplaying rules mechanics for its style.

Daring against complicated traps and enemies placed in the same room by performing ninja acrobatics. Being able to evade punches of zombie giants and jumping on them to stab them in the back.

Any ideas on anything that could deliver this sort of thing?
Sounds like a job for Exalted to me.

Am I allowed to mention that here?

You know what would rock? Instead of having a couple big "campaign world guides" for all the settings like Al-Quadim, go back to releasing a series of modules that reveal big chunks of the setting. Much easier to get generic use out of them, and a better introduction to the feel of a given setting.

Modules help with establishing feel often quite more than setting books themselves. However there is a matter of crunch that each setting requires that would be unwieldy for modules. Especially since quite a lot of crunch relates to races and classes.

God, this is FourthBear. If you're listening, let there be more Al Qadim content coming. Those who do not see that it was the best damn setting ever made for D&D shall be cast into confusion and the righteous shall rejoice.

I love Al Quadim, but I think it is only the second best setting. The best damn published DND setting would have to be Athas (Dark Sun). :p
