In order for such a schedule to not interfere with life, you couldn't have much of a life, honestly. 
In addition, It's not just my life you're talking about. It's the players' lives too. As a practical matter, getting a group together three times a week for meaningful gaming sessions for any period of time really isn't feasible after college.
Unless you mean running three different games, each once a week. That also leans towards teh unmanageable, IMHO.
I can envision a time, say one summer, if I've a bunch of folks who aren't dong anything much, TV is all in reruns, work for everyone is slow, and so on, and I've got an idea for a story arc. For a short, intense, focused campaign I might be willing to try running three games a week. But it'd have to be a pretty darned good idea on my part, and I'd have to have access to really enthusiastic, top-notch gamers to make it worth the effort.
