I'm assuming from those replies that you guy are not experiencing slow enemies.

I'm on an iMac. Maybe that's the issue. The specs say it has 8GB memory and 1.98 TB free on the hard drive. You say I need 12GB?

I think it might also be an optimization/bug issue. I have 16 GB memory and I have the same type of pauses. I've been meaning to get an SSD and this just might give me impetus to do so.

I just finished my first run through this game. I don't know what is is about it, but I haven't felt this much tension and elation for a computer game since... no, even the previous XCOM game didn't come close. Just an awesome experience.

There's mod called "Don't waste my time". It gets rid of a lot of the pauses. Maybe that can help.
