I don't mind female Angel really. The character's gender was never that important imo. I'd love to see more of Colossus and Kitty. Beast is cool.

Storywise? I really, REALLY want to see little Anna Paquin flying around smashing 40ft sentinels with her bare hands

The kid in me is excited about a third X movie, but the skeptic is taking a wait and see approach. Right now, what is and isn't going to be in the movie is mostly rumors. Scripts change often and I am betting that when official word regarding the storyline is spoken, most comic fans will be relatively pleased. I'm not so concerned that the movies follow 'canon' closely as they maintain the spirit of the stories themselves. The first two movies had the elements of familiarity in them that comic fans were looking for while still crafting an entertaining story for non-comic fans. As long as the third movie maintains this, I'll be happy.

As Creech said, it's still pretty early, but i have to wonder about having a movie with Trask, but no Sentinels... I wonder what they're going to do with the whole Pheonix storyline? I was under the impression that X-series was only going to be a trilogy (I could very well be wrong since I can't recall where I heard that). So are they going to squeeze her into this movie or extend the series.

I think it would be silly to make Angel a girl. Especially since the Marvel Universe isn't lacking for female mutants. They could bring in Dazzler or Polaris or Aurora or...

I always thought Dazzler was the stupidest marvel superhero, if not the most boring ever. A product of the 70's disco era if there ever was one.

I think her old character wasn't that hot, but her powers are much more interesting than, yay, another telepath/telekinetic/freaky shape person. And when she shows up nowadays, characterwise there's not much left of the '70s disco-era Dazzler.

Cheers
Nell.

Especially considering she made her debut in 1980, when Disco was on its way out anyway... :D I liked the character - a mutant who DIDN'T want to be a superhero, but wanted to use their powers for everyday life - but there's no vehicle for that in a comic-book world where the buyer's market is for action and adventure. You couldn't do 100 comics of Dazzler playing nightclub gigs. :)
