While I agree the Maddie story seemed a bit rushed, frankly I liked it better than the comics version from years ago.

The way mutants talk about non-mutants is so weird sometimes. Like, I kind of think that what the X-Men comics could really use is a whole neanderthal plotline where it turns out that the "differences" between humans and neanderthals are mosty superficial mumbo jumbo.

Man just when the last few episodes made me think the show was going bad.....they pull THAT out! Holy crap, intense and amazing.

Wow. That got dark in a hurry. This is quite a while after I stopped collecting comic books, so, this really came out of left field for me.

But, did I imagine it, or was the Watcher barely visible during one of the fireworks displays?

at 20:40, at the beginning of the fireworks, you can definitely see the watcher bowing his head.
