Just feels to me like they threw too many storylines together for this one though. Way too convoluted for my comfort.

Well I personally find Moriarty no better than Harry Knowles. That is, nothing but worthless fanboy hyperbole.

I'll wait for reviews from real critics, like Owen Gleiberman (Entertainment Weekly) or the one of folks at the New York Times.

Indeed. Almost all of the time, I find I agree with his reviews. Our tastes seem to be in synch more often than not. So, I've gone from 'very hopeful' to 'edge of my seat waiting on it'.

That guy is so hit and miss. 50% of the time I agree with him, the other half I am wondering if we are watching the same movie.

I don't always agree with Ebert, but what's important is that I always get where he's coming from. Same with Moriarty. They don't get swept away with feeling like the majority of critics. They aknowledge them, sure, but if the critic's only telling me what he thought of a movie he's not doing his job: He should be telling me what I'm most likely gonna think of the movie.

What is this movie trying to do and does it succeed?
