[Xbox] buying tips? and setup question

I actually bought an XBOX on Monday, so I went through all this just now. I asked around about what the "Must Have" games were and came up with 3 answers:

1) Star Wars: Battlefront - while this was highly recommended, I was told that it is NOT recommended unless you are playing online or at least against someone else split-screen. I've heard the AI is awful for single player. Also, the store was out of stock.

2) XMen Legends - I didn't buy this because I have a friend who has it and I knew that 4 of us were going to get together last night at his place and play it. What I can say after that is that the game was loads of fun for 4-players, and looks like it would be great for single-player. The only bad thing I heard for multi-player is that it takes a while in the game before you can actually play 4 characters (you start with only one), but since the friend had played for a while, he loaded a save-game just after he got 4 and we started from there.

3) Burnout3 - Obviously this is only a good title if you like racing games, but I think you'll find that the people who own this game universally love it. This is the only game I bought, and therefore the only game I own for the XBOX, and I really can't complain. It's more about "offsensive driving" than just racing, but it pretty much has every type of car you can think of, which is a really nice feature. I've already raced with Compacts, Coupes, Muscle Cars, Sports Cars, and Formula-One racers, and I know that I haven't yet gotten to about half of the types I can.

Also notable:

Fable - So much hype, so much disappointment. The main complaint is that the game, while being amazing, takes about 15 hours to finish. I think you'll be able to pick this up used in a month or two (if not already).

ESPN Football 2005 - I've heard that between this and Madden's game that this is more fun to play. I've played it and it was certainly a lot of fun (for Football fans of course), but I haven't played Madden.

Halo - Showing its age, but still a great FPS if that's what you're into.
