You and your party members run from the unspeakable horror that chases you. Your skin is covered with cold sweat as you try to collect your thoughts...
Jarad had been the first to get eaten. It had been his damnfool plan that got you into this situation in the first place.
Hey, that landslide last week uncovered the entrance to some old building. Why don't we go investigate? I'll bet no one has been there for thousands of years....
You, Irek and Zoot close a giant iron door and bar it... From the other side you here the beast pounding on it. Panic starts to set in when you see the metal starting to bend.
You remember that first moment of shock. Jarad was trying to pry some kind of glowing gem from a pedestal. The next thing you knew he had been consumed by an amorphous mass of madness that had seemingly come from nowhere. He didn't even have time to scream. Tordek and Zardok had been next. The fools had been consumed while the rest of you fled from the room. You don't even know where Cohen is. Perhaps he managed to escape.
Looking around the room you quickly see that there is no way out. The only exit from this room is through the door... the door that is quickly being knocked inward.
Zoot looks around in panic. What should we do?!?
In the middle of the room a large ring stands upright. Around the edge of it are carved all manner of unusual runes. Before you can stop her Zoot runs up to the base of the ring. Suddenly the runes around its edge begin to glow. Behind you the door is barely hanging on its edges. You see slimy tenticles reaching around the edges of the door.
The middle of the ring begins to glow.
A gate! yells Zoot... Before you can respond she jumps through the ring.... and disappears
At the same time the door comes crashing down. The hideous mass quickly enters the room. One tenticle wraps around Irek. Screaming, he is drawn into the mass of the creature.
With no choice, you leap into the glowing gate...
