(YBA) Kalath in Wicht's Lair (continued)

[Wicht]

The man glares at Kalath for a minute and Kalath feels the waves of goodness rolling off of him. He is likely a Holy Warrior.

"I am Rewt and these are my friends Y'kij and Frint. We have been sent by the ancient masters to help clear out the evil from this land. We seek to enter this tomb for doubtlessly there are evil things hidden within that we would destoy."

He waits to see how Kalath is going to react.

"Hmmm, truly. A noble goal."

"But would you be strong enough to face what is in that tomb? This is quite a dangerous place. It would be such a terrible tragedy for you to lose your life fighting those out of your league."

"Before I can in good conscience help you enter there, you must prove that you handle what is in there. Are you brave enough to prove yourself against me in single combat?"

 

[Wicht]

"Don't do it!" says the one identified as Frint. He seems to be a fighter.

"Even so would evil seek to win," says Y'kij sagely, "by dividing and conquering." Y'Kij though he wields a kama has the air of a mystic.

"Peace my friends," says Rewt and then answering Kalath, "I am no fool black knight to throw away myself in a gamble. That is why I have friends while you seem to be curiously alone. Thus must goodness prosper while darkness falls. He is evil friends."

The three companions move to attack Kalath at Rewt's words.

Kalath manages to wound the mystic but Rewt connects easily for 1 hitto Kalath. As the mystic stumbles back he unleashes a bolt of cold energy at Kalath even as Rewt sweeps his foot around.

Int he meantime Kalath can feel positive energy flowing out of the holy warrior.

Pressing his advantage, Kalath whips out his new phoenix feather fan and swipes at Rewt with it, dragging the deadly feathers through the holy warrior!

ooc: Question. While Rewt can recover other's hits at a cost of 3 Chi per hit, to give himself back hits, Rewt has to make a Gain Life attack (like my Steal Life attacks) and succeed, right?
