(YBA) Kalath in Wicht's Lair (continued)

[Wicht]

The nearest doorway is on the left side of the hall a little down the hall from the stairs Kalath just came down. It is unlocked and Kalath opens and enters in. The room within is not that big, about ten feet by ten feet and contains a bed and a chair.

The bed is not occupied but the chair is. A swarthy looking man in leather armor is pulling on some boots.

"Whattya Want !?!" he snaps at Kalath.

 

[graydoom]

"Damn, thought this was my room!"

Without another word, Kalath turns and exits.

"Nowhere to hide...."

Kalath walks straight to the stairs that eventually lead back to the first floor.

 

[Wicht]

The man mutters something unintelligeble to Kalath as Kalath leaves. Even as he closes the door behind him, another man reaches the top of the stairs and makes his way to one of the doors on the other end of the hall and opening it, he enters.

Kalath proceeds to the stairs and all the way down to the first floor without incident.

Back down at the first floor, Kalath immediately heads to the bar entrance, where he came in, and leaves.

 

[Wicht]

No one stops Kalath as he leaves the inn.

Once outside the whistling dragon, Kalath retraces his steps back to the pillar he came in at and enters.

 

[Wicht]

The city bustles around Kalath as he exits the inn and makes his way back to the pillar up. The giants do not hesitate to let him into the room at the base of the pillar and Kalath enters just in time to see a small group of fighters making their way out of the room and into the stairs going up.

 

[graydoom]

Kalath nods to Girfang if he's in the room and heads straight to the door that leads to the stairs and heads up. He keeps the same pace as the group in front of him, but keeps a good bit back, following them by the sound they make and staying out of sight if possible.

 

[Wicht]

It takes a while to climb the stairs, but the group in front of him keeps a steady pace and soon Kalath hears them talking to the imps above.

A few seconds later, Kalath is exiting through the hole in the floor and into the tomb.

When he hears the voices from the imp's room stop, Kalath continues out of the tomb.
