(YBA) Kalath in Wicht's Lair (continued)

Wicht chuckles. The sound is not pleasant.

"Not quite a warning, lets just say some employees listen better than others."

"Follow Me." says Wicht and he steps down from his throne and leads Kalath to a door located on a flat section of the wall angled just where the room grows wider. Kalath sees that there is a similar door across the room on a similar section of the wall.

Wicht opens it and walks down a hallway to another door which opens at a word. Beyond is a strange sort of room that Kalath can only assume is a labaratory. Unlike most labaratories, however there is a pool table centered in the middle of the room.

Wicht walks to one of the many counters in the room and picks up a small vial containing some sort of green liquid. Handing this to Kalath, Wicht says, "After you kill Rettville, feed him this. I believe actually you know where Rettville dwells. The easiest way for you to get there is to return to the cemetery and go in the front entrance."

Kalath puts the vial containing the green liquid in a safe place.

"Rettville... heh heh heh. He won't survive very long."

Kalath leaves Wicht, and heads back up to the tomb.

As Wicht shows Kalath the way out he mentions, "Three things before you leave. First of all I suggest you deal with Rettville and not his rats as they will likely scatter if he is killed. Second of all tell Willford when the job is done. Third of all, if you are going to work for me I forbid the wholesale slaughter of anymore of my people. I am sure you understand. It's a violent place and rightfully so but genocide is counter productive in most cases."

The climb back up the stairs is quite long and Kalath is hot and winded by the time he once more reaches the surface.

Kalath comes out of the coffin and back into Wicht's Tomb, and leaves the tomb, heading back out into the cemetery.

ooc: It's ok to for Kalath to go back to town for supplies/etc., then come immediately back into the cemetery, right?

Kalath takes a quick trip back to town to spruce up his weapons.

Once he has done that, Kalath heads back into Wicht's Lair. Once back in the cemetery, he travels northward, keeping to the path of fear, and making for the entrance to the goblin's layer of the lair.

OOC: How did you get those prices? Shouldn't it be 2 Yen per style that has +1? If not, then I overpayed for all my stuff!

For example, Dragon + Fang + Dagger should equal 6 Yen, not 4. Or so I thought....???

ooc: Since I already have the base item for most of that (for example, the base fan for the envenomed phoenix feather fan) I am effectively only buying the other styles. So for the fan, I am paying for the phoenix, snake, and spider styles. It's the same as if I had bought 3 new weapons, 1 each for phoenix, snake, and spider... I just choose to style/represent/flavor them as a single weapon combined with the fan.

I think you need to spend 3 more yen and sell some things- you can't just update your fan you have to buy a whole new one, thus the actual cost should be 2 yen more for those items you just updated - not a huge problem as the way I see it you just have to sell the ones you are updating and then two of your other older weapons and part with your last yen.

edit- just to be fair cuz that is what I made pheonix do. (like the hunters claws by the way).

The only difference between having a phoenix feather (+1 phoenix), a snake (+1 snake), a spider's leg (+1 spider), and a fan (+1 fan) and having a Envenomed Phoenix's Feather Fan (+1 phoenix, fan, spider, snake) is the flavor. Both cost a total of 8 yen, both sell for a total of 4 yen, both add +1 to the same 4 styles. The only difference is that one is flavored as a single weapon and the other is flavored as 4 different weapons.

For the hunter's claw, I effectively bought a new 'base' weapon (+2 claw instead of +1 claw) and thus had to sell the original claw, because one item for each of those styles and a +1 claw would not be the same as the one item that gives all those styles and a +2 claw.
