"Well might as well see what monstrous creature is in this one" Lovecraft opens the sarcophagus.

 

[Ciaran]

A rich, earthy smell rises from the wood-laced corpse within the sarcophagus. With a creak and a groan, it rises up to meet you with outstretched hands.

Blocking the nightmarish creature's grasping hands, you slam it for 1 hit. The thing reels back, then advances once more, its head lolling at an unnatural angle.

Grappling you with claws of wood and bone, the thing exhales a foul vapor into your face. Its thick, vaguely sweet stench weakens your limbs, and the creature rends you for 2 hits.

Enraged by the mummy's attack, Lovecraft leaps up and brings down a double fisted slam on the creature.
