YBA Revision Planning

Also a couple of thoughts (Un)Holy Strike and (to a lesser extent) Priest's Blessing are powers that come into play about as frequently as a single style does so they seem a little expensive at 5 XP each.

Of course the lesser extent is because the Drains are so powerful and IMO DM's like them, of course since Energy Drain basically negates Priest's Blessing even it is somewhat debatable.

Doesn't Chi Strike cost 4, but Dirty Trick costs 3? And, Dirty Trick lets you always go last in a round? If that's right? I proposed that I'd rather have both cost 4...

Chi Strike is an almost useless power unless you happen to have a gang of friends all attacking one enemy. Chi strike really does need some thinking to make it viable.

I think Ciaran is right.

One of the things about some of the powers is that they are worthless unless used right. That is not to say the costs of some of them should not be adjusted.

One solution, the obvious one to me is to make dirty trick cost 5, shove cost 3 and Chi strike cost 3. The fact that the dirty trick gives you more or less control of the fight makes it an invaluable skill.

Chair Strike, for those who have not seen it in use, is one of the best skills you can have at times. The name incidentally was a 'gift' to another player who originally came up with the idea from a 'style match' sort of thing he did.

:D Yep, I remember that day well... (Phoenix rubs the back of his head as he walks off smiling)

Chi Strike + PM means going first. Therefore all you need is 1 other person in the fight with a DT or shove to negate every single bit of what you were trying to do, since you used Chi Strike you can't even attempt to defend yourself with Purity of Focus.
